The South Africa women’s cricket team advanced to the World Cup final after defeating England by 125 runs.
Laura Wolvaardt delivered an outstanding performance at the top of the order, scoring 169 runs from 143 balls and making a massive contribution to her team’s success.
England, on the other hand, had a disastrous start to the match. Amy Jones, Tammy Beaumont, and Heather Knight were all dismissed for zero, leaving the score at 1-3.
Although Nat Sciver-Brunt and Alice Capsey showed some resistance with a composed 105-run partnership, their dismissals allowed South Africa to take full control of the game. England were bowled out for 194 in 42.3 overs.
Having lost to England in the group stage, South Africa responded in emphatic fashion this time, securing their place in the final. This historic victory marks South Africa’s first-ever appearance in a 50-over World Cup final in either men’s or women’s cricket.
India and Australia will face each other today, and the winner of that match will meet South Africa in the final on November 2.
