In the FIFA U-20 World Cup, part of the Round of 16 matches have been played, and two more African teams have been eliminated from the tournament.
Argentina defeated Nigeria with a convincing 4-0 victory. The goals came from Alejo Sarco in the 2nd minute, Maher Carrizo in the 23rd and 53rd minutes, and Mateo Silvetti in the 66th minute.
In another match, Colombia beat South Africa 3-1. Colombia’s goals were scored by Joel Canchimbo in the 7th minute and Neiser Villarreal in the 63rd and 90+6th minutes. South Africa’s only goal came from Mfunda Vilakazi, who converted a penalty in the 51st minute.
As a result, Morocco remains the only African team still in the tournament. They will face South Korea on Friday, and if they win, they will advance to the quarterfinals.
In other results, Mexico defeated Chile 4-1, while Spain earned a 1-0 victory over Ukraine.
