Trabzonspor, who made a strong start to the season, recently sold their captain Uğurcan Çakır to Galatasaray for a record fee of €33 million.
Following this move, the claret-and-blue side are planning to sign a quality goalkeeper before the transfer window closes, with André Onana being their main target.
After his impressive performances at Ajax and later Inter, Onana joined Manchester United for around €50 million. However, he has struggled to meet expectations at the English club.
Although he has shown flashes of quality, he has often been in the spotlight for costly mistakes. For this reason, Manchester United brought in promising goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp for €21 million.
Trabzonspor could provide Onana with the right environment to regain his best form. The goalkeeper is expected to join on loan with a purchase option.
