Braga’s Guinea-Bissau right winger Roger Fernandes is set to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
It has been announced that the club secured his transfer for a fee of £26 million.
At just 19 years old, Fernandes featured in 48 matches last season, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists.
This highlights the high potential he possesses.
The Saudi Pro League was previously known for attracting star players. However, they have now started working to bring in young talents as well.
Manchester United had shown interest in Roger Fernandes earlier in the transfer window and even scouted him at the European Under-21 Championship.
But the English club instead opted for Bryan Mbeumo in that position, preferring a more proven option.
This development ultimately made things easier for the Saudi side in securing the transfer.
