The European transfer window has reached its final stages.
During this period, many key players have switched teams, with substantial transfer fees being paid. Among these, the impact of African players on the market has been particularly notable.
Here is a list of the African players who were transferred for the highest fees during this summer’s transfer window:
LIVERPOOL’S MOST EXPENSIVE SIGNING: ALEXANDER ISAK
At the top of the list is Alexander Isak, whom Liverpool signed from Newcastle United for €144 million. The Eritrean-born star is also the most expensive transfer of the season.

Next on the list is Hugo Ekitiké, another Liverpool signing. The Cameroon-born forward was brought in from Frankfurt for €95 million.
NIGERIAN STRIKER IN THIRD PLACE
In third place is Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker, who impressed on loan at Galatasaray last season, moved to the Turkish club this summer for €75 million.

At the same transfer fee, Bryan Mbuemo, who made a name for himself in the Premier League last season, joined Manchester United for €75 million.
In fifth place is Eberechi Eze, one of Crystal Palace’s long-time stars. The attacking midfielder cost Arsenal approximately €70 million.

Sixth on the list is West Ham’s Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus. Tottenham paid around €65 million for the player.
NEWCASTLE SIGNINGS: ANTHONY ELANGA AND YOANE WISSA
Seventh is Cameroon-born Anthony Elanga, who plays as a right winger. Newcastle United paid €61.4 million for his transfer.

Eighth on the list is another Newcastle United signing. Democratic Republic of Congo striker Yoane Wissa, who joined the team on the final day of the transfer window, cost the English club €57.7 million.
In ninth place is Arsenal’s new right winger Noni Madueke. The Nigerian-born player’s transfer fee was €56 million.

At the bottom of the list is Burkina Faso-born left winger Dango Ouattara. The striker’s transfer cost approximately €43 million.
The transfer window has not yet closed in some countries. However, just for these ten most valuable African players who changed teams this season, approximately €750 million has already been spent.
