UAE-based technology company Space42 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Angola’s Military Intelligence and Security Service (SISM).
The agreement, signed during the state visit of UAE President His Highness Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Angolan President João Lourenço, establishes a five-year strategic partnership covering advanced cooperation in satellite communications, artificial intelligence, and security solutions.
A NEW ERA IN BILATERAL RELATIONS
This agreement is expected to significantly strengthen relations between the United Arab Emirates and Angola.
At the same time, Space42 aims to boost Angola’s technological capacity by integrating satellite communications, geospatial analytics, and AI capabilities into the country.
Angola already possesses a solid operational system; however, this new collaboration is expected to ensure 100% nationwide coverage.
TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS TO BE IMPLEMENTED
The company will also work with Angola to develop solutions in areas such as satellite communication technologies, AI applications, high-resolution imaging and geospatial intelligence, national security drones, and integrated technology systems for advanced border surveillance.
This agreement highlights not only the UAE’s commitment but also Space42’s determination to expand across Africa.
