The Awolowo House Mall in the Lagos-Ikeja area of Nigeria has been demolished.
A new Awolowo Technology Mall will be built in its place.
The new mall will have roughly double the commercial space of the previous Awolowo House, expanding from 4,800 square meters to approximately 9,600 square meters.
Ben Gbade Ojo, Managing Director of El-Salem Nigeria Limited, which is partnering with Wemabod on the project, briefed journalists in Abuja about the upcoming mall:
“Awolowo Technology Mall, also known as A.T Mall, will be a hub where leading ICT companies can open stores and offices to showcase and market the latest information and communication technologies.”
“It will be a place where the newest ICT products from the world’s top technology companies can be found in Nigeria.”
“It will become a center where leading ICT experts gather, provide training, and offer tailored solutions to technology challenges.”
“You will be able to find any ICT or electronic product available worldwide at A.T Mall, eliminating the need to travel outside Nigeria. Whatever technology product or service you need, come to A.T Mall in Ikeja and you will find it.”
Analysts view this development as a major step toward establishing Nigeria as a leading technology hub.
