Former Zimbabwe international Tendai Ndoro has been found dead at his home in Johannesburg.
The 40-year-old striker had previously struggled with health issues, but the exact cause of his death has not been confirmed.
Ndoro made a total of 118 appearances in the South African league, scoring 36 goals and providing 12 assists. He particularly caught the attention of football fans during his time with Orlando Pirates.
His former club did not remain silent over his untimely passing and released a statement:
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former striker, Tendai Ndoro (2015–2017). The club extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
Ndoro reached the peak of his career with the Buccaneers.
His passing at such a young age has left his fans and the football community in deep mourning.
