The Government of Eswatini has launched the Udacity Coding Program, aiming to provide free digital skills training to 300,000 Eswatini citizens.
This program will be carried out in collaboration with the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
The initiative is a significant step for the country’s digital transformation and its adaptation to the increasingly digital global landscape.
The program offers courses in Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals, Data Science Fundamentals, Programming Fundamentals, and Android Developer Fundamentals.
Participants who complete the program will be equipped to become qualified professionals and gain future employment opportunities.
To maximize the program’s impact, Minister Maziya called on internet service providers to zero-rate or subsidize data for students in rural areas and encouraged the private sector and donors to support device sponsorships, digital labs, and mentorship opportunities.
Additionally, other officials were urged, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Training, to transform schools, community centers, and halls into digital learning hubs.
