Brentford have signed Burkina Faso forward Dango Ouattara for £42.5 million.
The 23-year-old will be in London today to undergo a medical examination.
Last season, Ouattara scored nine goals in 37 appearances for Bournemouth. Nottingham Forest had previously shown interest in the player but later opted to sign Omari Hutchinson instead. This allowed Brentford to complete the transfer more easily.
Ouattara’s arrival could also pave the way for the departure of Yoane Wissa, who is expected to leave the club.
Primarily a left winger, Ouattara has already earned 30 caps for the national team at the age of 23, scoring 10 goals.
The attacking player has yet to reach his full potential, and it is quite likely that he could develop further at Brentford and eventually secure a move to a bigger club.
