Manchester United have made a €112 million bid for Brighton’s Cameroonian midfielder Carlos Baleba.
According to CFootCameroun, one of Cameroon’s leading news sources, Brighton have accepted the offer. The player is expected to join the Red Devils in the coming days.
The same outlet was the first to report the 21-year-old midfielder’s transfer from Lille to Brighton.
For this reason, it is widely believed that this transfer will most likely be made official in the coming days.
However, if the move does not go through, Manchester United are considering Adam Wharton as an alternative for that position.
Before Carlos Baleba, Manchester United signed another Cameroonian, Bryan Mbuemo, to strengthen their attack.
Having already spent close to €230 million, United finished last season in 15th place.
They have now embarked on a complete rebuild in an effort to put that disappointing campaign behind them.
