Newly promoted Sunderland have strengthened their squad by signing former Beşiktaş player Arthur Masuaku.
The Democratic Republic of Congo left-back has signed a two-year contract with the English club.
As Beşiktaş did not renew his contract, Arthur Masuaku had become a free agent. Therefore, Sunderland did not pay any transfer fee for this signing.
Following the move, Masuaku said:
“I’m very excited to be here and I’m really happy to be back in the Premier League. I want to have a winning mentality and bring joy to the fans, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Sunderland will face West Ham United in the first week of the Premier League.
Masuaku is expected to feature in that match.
