The Nigerian Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has launched the Build-A-Thon Holiday Camp.
These training camps, established in Abuja, Abeokuta, and Kano, aim to equip young Nigerians aged 10 to 18 with critical digital skills.
Participants will take part in sessions covering key topics such as the fundamentals of coding, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT), giving them the opportunity to engage with technology at an early age.
In addition, the program helps young Nigerians develop important soft skills like teamwork and problem-solving.
The ministry emphasized the value of the initiative, stating that it is laying the foundation for a generation of tech-savvy youth ready to shape Nigeria’s digital future.
The Nigerian government also aims to position the country as a major player in the global digital economy. Initiatives like this play a vital role in achieving that goal.
