The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Gabon (ARCEP) and the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency of Cameroon (ART) have signed an agreement to improve mobile services along the border.
This agreement was signed on Monday, August 4, 2025, in Bitam, following the reception of the Cameroonian delegation at the Meyo-Kyè border post.
Through this initiative, the quality of electronic communications is expected to improve for residents living in Bitam (Gabon) and the South Cameroon region.
Additionally, the agreement will reduce interference between the two countries’ networks, leading to better coverage, more stable calls, and smoother internet access.
In short, this partnership will further enhance cross-border connectivity between the two nations and make the internet a tool for improving the well-being of their populations.
