Fenerbahçe is looking to strengthen its midfield this summer.
In line with this goal, the Yellow-Navy Blues have held talks with players like Yves Bissouma, Granit Xhaka, and Hakan Çalhanoğlu. Another target on their radar was Club Brugge’s Raphael Onyedika.
However, the Belgian club demanded a hefty €40 million transfer fee for the Nigerian midfielder. Due to this high price tag, Fenerbahçe has decided to pull out of the race for now.
Several top European clubs remain interested in Onyedika, including Juventus, West Ham, Tottenham, and Leeds United.
Despite the growing interest, Club Brugge is in no rush to sell. The Belgian side views the 24-year-old as a key part of their squad.
In fact, Onyedika has been included in Club Brugge’s matchday squad for the upcoming Belgian Super Cup. Despite interest from multiple clubs, a move this summer may not materialize.
