After eliminating Manchester City in the Round of 16, Al Hilal have signed Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah on a short-term loan to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the Club World Cup quarter-finals.
With fellow forwards Aleksandar Mitrović and Salem Al-Dawsari both sidelined due to injury, the Saudi Arabian side was set to face Fluminense FC without a natural striker.
However, the 34-year-old has been brought in on loan from Al Shabab and could make a significant impact with his experience and goal-scoring ability.
Last season, Hamdallah scored 23 goals in the Saudi Pro League, finishing as the league’s second-highest scorer.
The Moroccan striker also ranks among the all-time top scorers in Saudi Pro League history.
The experienced forward is expected to contribute to Al Hilal’s strong run in the tournament.
Having already started training with the team, he is likely to be in the starting XI for the remainder of the competition.
