A high-level delegation organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) is undertaking a strategic visit to South Korea.
The visit is expected to continue until June 13. Taking place in the city of Seoul, the main goal of this mission is to strengthen economic relations between the two countries and explore potential areas for industrial cooperation.
The delegation includes Moroccan companies operating in sectors such as automotive, chemicals and petrochemicals, agri-food, plastics, pharmaceuticals, heavy industry, mining, renewable energy, and new technologies. Morocco aims to benefit from South Korea’s technological expertise following this visit.
The delegation’s first stop was the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ). In addition, their examination of the Smart City Integrated Operation Center (SCIOC) could serve as an inspiration for Morocco’s own smart city initiatives.
The delegation also visited the Samsung Innovation Museum in Suwon, gaining insights into the Korean tech giant’s journey from early electrical devices to cutting-edge innovations.
In the coming days, the Moroccan delegation will hold meetings with key organizations such as the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).
