Wydad Athletic Club, Morocco’s most successful club in terms of league titles, finished third in the league this season.
Determined to build a stronger squad for the next campaign, the club has already begun making moves in the transfer market.
They have signed Noureddine Amrabat, who last played for Hull City, as well as Moroccan international Hamza Hanouri. Alongside these two Moroccan players, Wydad also secured the services of Burkina Faso star Aziz Ki, who was playing for Young Africans.
The club made an official announcement regarding the transfers:
“The Wydad Athletic Club management announces the official signing of the players: Noureddine Amrabat, Hamza Hanouri, and Aziz Ki. We wish them and their teammates the best of luck with the team.”
Wydad is set to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup and has been drawn into a challenging group that includes Manchester City (England), Al Ain (UAE), and Italian giants Juventus.
After a season that fell short of expectations, Wydad hopes to deliver a strong performance on the international stage.
