Morocco Crowned CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Champions
Morocco claimed the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations title after defeating Mali in the final. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, but the host nation triumphed 4-2 in the penalty shootout.
Abdellah Ouazane was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performances. His composure on the ball, tactical intelligence, and vision stood out throughout the competition.
Another standout performer was Moroccan goalkeeper Chouaib Bellaarouch. He was named both the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament and the Man of the Match for the final.
Bellaarouch conceded only one goal during the entire tournament and saved two out of four penalties in the decisive shootout.
Morocco’s head coach Nabil Baha was recognized as the Best Coach of the Tournament. His leadership and tactical approach played a key role in guiding Morocco to their first U-17 continental title.
Although Mali fell short in the final, they were honored with the Fair Play Award for their exemplary sportsmanship and conduct throughout the competition.
